Miami's Strongest Adaptive on Earth, Event 1

AXLE CLEAN & PRESS AWAY

You may clean as many times as you wish.

Bar must come back down below your chin before proceeding to your next rep.

Up and down commands.

STANDING ATHLETES 

Rogue wagon wheels 15"

Belt cleans no resting on the belt 

Athletes will start with hands on the bar. 

ONE ARM ATHLETES

You may use versa grips or figure 6/deadlift straps to help your clean. You are not allowed figure eights (safety reasons).

SEATED ATHLETES 

Bench angle 60°

Box height will be determined individually on the day of weigh-ins 

Bar will be set under the chin and above the clavicle. 

You may roll/ clean the bar into rack position.

You can*NOT* roll the bar into a press/ Viper.

 

PPE

1 pair of elbow sleeves 

1 pair of knee sleeves or knee wraps cannot be doubled up.

1 pair of wrist wraps 

1 pair of briefs 

1 grip shirt

1 soft under belt

1 hard belt.

1 mouthguard

Chalk is allowed, liquid or dry 

No Tacky or sticky substances

Event 2   

AXLE DEADLIFT FOR REPS.

Athletes may hitch or ramp the axle but thumbs must be in contact with the bar at all times.

Figure eights, figure 6/ deadlift straps, noo slip straps, Pro grips or raw dog are all allowed

Knees locked out, hips through and shoulders back. 

No touch and go, you must wait for

Up and down commands.

 

STANDING ATHLETES

Athletes will start strapped into the axle. 

ONE ARM ATHLETES 

Will utilize any slings or shoulder straps as deemed necessary to replicate a secondary hand on the axle. 

SEATED ATHLETES 

Will utilized a seated deadlift bench of 18" high.

A coach or volunteer may help you strap in.

 Event 3

40FT YOKE RUN TO SANDBAG OVER BAR FOR REPS in 60SEC

Bar height will be set at 48 in 

Grip shirts are allowed

Liquid or dry chalk is allowed 

No tacky or sticky substances

 

STANDING ATHLETES 

Will start in position under the yoke.

Then they will run the yolk 40 ft 

Once they've crossed the finish line they will go to the stationary yoke (Right next to the finish line) where a sandbag will be waiting for them for maximum repetitions in 60 seconds.

VISION IMPAIRED ATHLETES

Will be allowed a guide/ handler 

Alongside them to navigate the course across the finish line and to the next yoke where their sandbags await

ONE ARM ATHLETES 

Will have an additional 30 seconds, for a total of 90 seconds to compensate for the time it takes to utilize their sling/shoulder harness.

SEATED ATHLETES 

Will start seated in an incline bench set at 50° to allow for shoulder movement. 

Athletes will grab the sandbag set next to them on a box of 24 in high, whereas a yoke with a bar set at 42 in high awaits them. They will then place the sandbag over the bar where the sandbag will fall back down on to the 24-in box

Rinse and repeat for 60 sec

Athletes may choose which side they want their yolk and box

KEG CLEAN AND PRESS FOR REPS

Athletes will clean each rep and over head press the keg, elbows, knees locked out, hips through 

Must wait for the down command.

60sec time clock.

STANDING ATHLETES

Athletes will start with hands on the keg

ONE ARM ATHLETES FOR SAFETY REASONS

Will perform a sandbag to shoulder, Athletes will utilize any slings or shoulder straps as deemed necessary to replicate a secondary hand. 

SEATED ATHLETES will start with the keg on their lap and will utilized a incline bench set a 50/55° to help clean the keg but must sit up 90° for lock out. Athlete may stay seated at 90° if they wish

*Seatead 3 Athletes may press from the 50/55° incline. 

Due to no hip function.
